John L. Wilson, Managing Shareholder, holds a BS in Administrative Management, with Honor, from Clemson University (1978) and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina, School of Law (1981). John concentrates his practice in residential and commercial real estate, mediation, probate, estate planning and business law. Admitted to the SC Bar in 1981, he is admitted to the US District Court, US Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, US Tax Court and the US Supreme Court. A Certified Circuit Court Mediator, John is also a member of the Real Estate, Probate, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Corporation Sections of the SC Bar. He is a Past President of the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club as well as the Hilton Head Island Jaycees. He has been recognized as the Rotarian of the Year by the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club and the Rotarian of the Year out of 4800 Rotarians in the 78 Club District of Coastal and Midlands South Carolina. John is an honored member of Who's Who in American Law, The Association of Attorney-Mediators, Who's Who Among Executives and Professionals, Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. John is married to Jackie, our office manager and they have 2 sons and 2 daughters, Tom, Kelli, Andrew and Sara. John and Jackie enjoy boating, their grandchildren and their 3 dogs, Higgins, Summer and Bum.
William F. Bratt, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Adminstration with a concentration in Finance, summa cum laude, and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University. In law school, he was awarded the American Jurisprudence awards (given to that year's top student) in Evidence, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Commercial Law and Corporate Taxation. A third generation attorney, Bill began practicing in the areas of estate planning and probate in 1983 in Bergen County, New Jersey in a firm founded by his grandfather. He is licensed to practice law before all State and Federal Courts in both New Jersey and South Carolina, but currently restricts his practice to South Carolina. Bill practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts, estate administration and business law. His practice is comprised of referrals from accountants, financial planners, trust officers and other attorneys, as well as referrals from prior clients. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business honorary, and has held a U.S. Coast Guard 100 ton Inland Master license. A past president of the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club, Bill is married to Kim, principal of the Hilton Head Island Early Childhood Center, and has two daughters, Stephanie and Laurel. He and Kim enjoy boating, and their three dogs, Cody, Bailey and Laci.
Our StaffJacqueline "Jackie" Wilson, Office Manager, has 23 years of client service with the firm. She greets all clients, processes timeshare resale closings and manages all client incoming and outgoing funds in the firm's escrow account.
Kathleen "Kathy" Moore, is our Probate and Timeshare Paralegal and has been with the firm for 7 years, although her experience in South Carolina law firms spans 12 years. Kathy can generally assist our clients with questions on the progress of their files. Kelli Lust, Legal Assistant has completed 1 year of client service with our firm. She assists the attorneys with various projects and performs post- closing processing in all real property closings.
